Star trails are accomplished by taking photos at intervals over the night, capturing how the stars appear to "move" as the earth rotates.
This particular photo was taken in a Bortle 4, over the course of 4 hours, resulting in a final stack of over 300+ photos.

This photo was one of my first attempts at star trails, and whilst it doesn't contain Polaris, it still makes for a great stack.
The photo consists of 360+ photos stacked over a period of approximatly 5 hours in a Bortle 4.
